This week in Europe
Below we would like to draw your attention to the upcoming events in Europe that directly concern or present a particular interest for Armenia. Special attention is paid to international organizations and the scheduled meetings and events in the framework of their activities.
On March 4 the European Commission and the High Representative of the EU will launch a consultation on the future of the European Neighbourhood Policy. A joint Committee will be formed which will carry out consultations with neighbouringEU member and partner countries till the end of June. After these consultations there the Committee will come up proposals on the future of the ENP.
European Council President Donald Tusk will travel to Washington on March 9, where he will hold a meeting with the US President Barack Obama.
Plenary session of European Parliament will be hold on March 9-12. Among other issues the impact of sanctions on Russia on international trade roads will be discussed.
